, general description . In his other life, when he was actually living, Shawn would probably have described his style as preppy. It wasn't that he wanted to dress like that, honestly he couldn't have cared less, but it wasn't really up to him. His mom was kind of overbearing in every aspect of his life so went it came to what he wore he normally just put on whatever she brought him.
Physical appearance wise most women would say that Shawn had been rather blessed by the Gods. He had a swimmer's physique and wonderful bone structure, which was pretty odd for a nerd. For the most part, he was "quite a looker."[/ul]

He has a promise ring.
He's actually been depressed for a while.
, personality. Shawn was a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He would study on the weekdays and party on the weekdays... Wait, that doesn't make sense... Does it? Well, somehow he managed it and that's just what he did. He's the kind of guy that knows how to make time for friends and his studies. Academics was always first in his heart, though. Hey, it's not his fault that he's the kind of guy everyone wants to be around. Trust me, if he had a choice he would rather be alone. Shawn is a very anxious person, especially when around women.
His parents had taught him well, and Shawn was a gentleman at heart, but he often put on a front when his friends were around. He didn't want to be that "sensitive guy" that all of his friends made fun of, so he decided to hide it as best he can. He's pretty insecure and doesn't like to be thought bad of, but there is another side of him that comes out every so often. Few people have seen it, but at times Shawn can actually be silly. At a party you could nearly always find him making a fool of himself (and he really enjoyed it) but he often found it less than funny when he ended up being the fool around someone he liked. Attractive women often left him sweating and wondering what to say next. He's not so smooth when it comes to the opposite sex.
I guess you could say that he was that kid in school that people could call a "cool nerd." People liked him, and hey, he was also an awesome tutor. Shawn loved math and anything to do with physics and things of that nature. Get him going on a conversation about adiabatic invariants and he would be liable to talk for hours, but sit him down with a book of poetry and he might get lost. He doesn't like to use the creative side of his brain so much as finding out the facts. He's one of those guys that needs it spelled out for him. So ladies, don't try to hint things and hope that he can read between the lines. Nine times out of ten you'll find yourself disappointed.

. Shawn was born and raised in St. Andrews with his mother and father. Not a priveledge most children have these days. He was also a bit spoiled, being the only child. But don't think that that means he got everything he's ever wanted. Being the only child had it's benefits and disadvantages. For example, his mother always kept three eyes on him. Yes, you read correctly, that was not a typo. His mother always kept three eyes on him. Since he is her only child, she worried over him so much that she felt the need to keep tabs on him wherever he went. His father was quite the opposite, though. He knew that 'a man's gotta breath.' So, he cut Shawn a little slack every now and again to let him leave the house and see what's out there. All in all, the boy is a well rounded kid, with caring parents and a need for adventure.
This year, while Shawn was packing up and getting ready to head home for the holiday (as he usually did) his parents had forgotten to send him a very important memo. They were going on vacation as well. In Maui of all places! Well, even though Shawn is twenty-one and well capable of having the house to himself his mother wanted to be extra cautious. She couldn't leave her little baby boy home alone, so she bought him a plane ticket also, but not to Maui. For the remainder of the holidays Shawn was to stay at his Aunt Linda's house in Addison, Maine.
So reluctantly, he packed up a few more of his things upon hearing the news and said goodbye to Scottland and hello to the U.S. He never been to the states before and he had heard of Aunt Linda before but he had never actually met her, which made the trip even a little more irritating. Why his mother thought that taking him to a different country to live in a stranger's house would be safer than staying home, he'll never know.
Shawn had only been bunking there for about a week and he had already started to notice strange things about the town. There wasn't anything spooky popping up or anything. Things just didn't feel right. People looked at him differently in Addison, but maybe it was just his nerves getting to him. Addison was a small town. ''How dangerous could it be?' He thought. Well, turns out it could be REALLY dangerous. About three days later Shawn was found near a local park. Deceased.[/ul]

"Alright dear, now remember, we'll all be home in about three weeks. Take care of Linda's house. No parties."
"No girls." His father added.
"Yeah, guys, I get it. No fun. I'll see you two later, okay?" Shawn replied as he tried to shoe his parents out the door. Shawn was twenty-one now, a brunette, tall-figured man and he didn't live with his parents. At least not all the time. He was a full-time college student and since it was semester break he came home for the holidays, but since Shawn had been away from home and out of the picture for months on end, his parents had already booked a vacation to Maui which left him in stuck in a one-bedroom house with his Aunt while they soaked up the sun. It didn't matter much to him, though. He could find a way to entertain himself for three weeks. It wouldn't be a big deal.
"Alright, mom, I get it so pleeaase. Just leave already." He urged while nearly pushing them out the door.
"Okay, okay." His mother conceded. "Just make sure you turn off all the lights before going to bed. Lock the doors, and..."
"Beth, I think he's got it. He's a man now, after all. He knows how to take care of himself." The father looked into his son's brown eyes with admiration and pride while the mother rolled her own.
"Show me a man that can take care of himself, and I'll show you a flying pig." She muttered as she walked out of the house. The father shook his head, still smiling, and followed her down the garden path toward the car.
"Now, we'll be back soon, remember. Have fun, son." He said as he waved goodbye and the two pulled out from the driveway.
Shawn breathed a sigh of relief, and no more than a second later the phone began to ring. He rushed toward the kitchen and managed to take it off the lever before the third ring.
"Hello?" He asked into the receiver.
"Hi." The other voice answered. "It's me... Your aunt, Linda."
"No girls." His father added.
