1. Do not steal any of our graphics, codes, ideas, posts, etc. You WILL be banned and turned over to Proboards.
2. Respect is a virtue, and therefore a necessity. Yes, friendly arguing is okay in certain discussion, and characters can fight and such, but please no flaming or being rude. No one wants to see that.
3. No spamming. We don't see the need for you to post your site a million and one times through PMs, the C-Box, and the forum itself. Just don't do it.
4. After you post your application, please don't nag myself, or any of the other admins to accept it. We lead busy lives and we will try to get to you as soon as possible. If it gets to be a week, then, you may send us a message.
5. When posting, you must have a first and last name, or a first and middle name. In other words, you cannot be BobiiBigBoy23. You are a character, and this is a roleplay. This is NOT an option.
6. We all love signatures, but we do ask they don't stretch the page. Banner signatures can be no wider than 500. We do, indeed, permit two 200x300 and text images. Avatars can be either 150x200 or 100x100. If you fail to follow these directions, we will remove your signature without warning.
7. This is an original roleplay and therefore, we would like to see original characters. There is a list of canons, but we're not talking about that. What I'm asking is: Why would Edward Scissorhands be in the Beyond, chatting it up with George Clooney. No use of celebrities or characters from other books/movies. However, if you'd like to use your own character from another RP, that's fine.
8. If myself or another admin finds out you've stolen someone else's character from either here or another RP site, you will be banned immediately. I don't care if they were banned. They are not your character to control.
9. You must have a face claim. No anime, drawings, models from Deviantart or Myspace... you catch my drift. If they have a name, and you know it, you can use them. However, if it's someone from Myspace or Deviantart that only you know, you MUST post that they have given you permission. I don't need a bunch of models breathing down my neck about why their picture is in someone's signature.
10. English isn't everyone's first language, and I also understand it can be hard to use at times. But please, use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. No 'net' speak will be allowed in posts, but in the OOC boards it's somewhat acceptable, in moderation.
11. Do not RP before you are accepted. End of story. Done. No exceptions.
12. No god-modding. This means that your character can't get hurt in any way, shape, or form. Their "invincible". Please. No one's Superman on this site, and even he had Kryptonite. People in the Beyond get hurt. Don't be afraid to have them trip and fall once in a while. Wounds do heal. (ticket: we're here to tell you, "There's such a thing as ghosts.")
13. No autoing. This means to control someone else's character by making them say something or do something, without the author's permission. This goes along with controlling a character that isn't yours. Just Don't Do It.
14. No Gary-Stus/Mary-Sues. This is when your character is flawless, perfect in every way. They have the perfect hair, the perfect eyes, are the captain of the football time with the cheerleader girlfriend (or vice versa), everyone loves them, and heck, even they love them! Whatever role they play, they're perfect at it, always. This goes along with god-modding. No one's perfect, even in the Beyond. Flaws give character in real life.
15. Here's a biggie: if you go inactive, this means you will lose your character. Inactive is considered about two or three weeks, unless you have an excuse. If you will be gone or busy for a long time, we advise you post in the OOC boards and tell us, so you don't come back to your character deleted.
16. Please stick to the plot. Sub-plots are appreciated, but do keep to the story. This is always necessary.
17. Even dead, you can kill other people's character, with their permission. Do not kill them without their permission. It's not very nice.
18. No explicit sexual content, please. Your characters may have sex, but detail is not necessary. Please just make a time lapse or fade to black before it gets too heated. No one needs full detail.
19. No OOC posts in the RPG boards. You can say something out of character by separating it. [Such as writing "OOC:", or using the classic ((OOC STUFF))]
20. Posts in the RPG boards MUST be third person. Sorry if this prevents you from joining. It just makes it easier for everyone.
21. Overall, have fun! Don't be afraid to release your creative side.
