Sixteen, and toxic as fuck
No one ever said the world was beautiful.
Tell a lie, find a good joke.
Doesn't laughing make you live longer?
Hello, and welcome to the world of Sakura Rose: roleplayer, writer, and self advocate. Born sixteen years ago, I started to stand up for my beliefs, my works, my words. This does not mean you have to believe them. It just means you have to keep your mind open and not chastise me the way others do. Can I trust you with such a thing?
The cake and presents extravaganza happens to be September tenth, an odd day to which I share the celebratory birthday punches with Mikey Way and Sanjaya Malakar (but not literally). I was born in the town of Bay Shore, NY, and, although I've since then moved to a crappy little town, I still consider it my home.
How's the love life looking? Well, to tell you the truth, it's actually not all that bad, being in love. I have a wonderful boy in my life who cares about me almost as much as I care about him. Honest to God, I feel like I'm going to spend the rest of my life with him, due to the butterflies to puts in my stomach and the amount of money he'd make if he bottled the laughter and smiles he gave me and sold them.
I've chosen recently not to identify, not to label. This goes for my sexual orientation as well. I love boys, and I love girls. I love giving love most, and I think that's what should matter. My views on this subject are pretty complex, and it would probably take hours to explain, so let's not dwell on it, shall we?
Raindrops on roses, girls in white dresses and sleeping with roaches.... Well, minus the roaches, I do love the simple things in life. I enjoy my tea and my coffee with a good book on a rainy sunday, and I don't mind getting a random little toy for Christmas, so long it keeps me entertained. I'm a girl of little words and barely more morals. The shenanigans that go on in my life amaze me, and have made me a stronger, more loving person. I'm the infinite soul, waiting to feast on the light and music my friends give me. Of course, it all comes back up in an hour.
X's are always on my hands, being the only thing I label myself as is Straightedge. I'm not that hardcore, but I do not smoke, drink, inject, snort, and devour. I do not sell myself on the street and I deny anyone who invites me to smoke after school. Caffeine is the only drugs I deal with, being I'm a coffee and JOLT! addict. Don't ask me to do anything more. I'm more likely not to talk to you.
I love to read. I've been reading since I was little, going to my grandmother's apartment and pulling books off the shelves for her to read to me. I can't say I have a favorite author, but there are certain books I love. Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is one of them. It's not just because he wrote the RENT screenplay, no. It's because the book was amazing and I love it with all of my heart. It changed me life, really. I also loved Girl, Interrupted; The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime; Fight Club; Diary; Alice in Wonderland; Tideland; Anthem; Impulse; Such a Pretty Girl; So B. It; and My Sister's Keeper. The Grimm Fairy Tales are a favorite as well.
I also enjoy my comic books. To be truthful, I'm a geek at heart, and I embrace it to the fullest. My favorites are The Clarence Principle, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and Lenore: the Cute Little Dead Girl. I also enjoy picking up a manga once in a while, such as Godchild or Aishiteruze Baby. As you can probably tell, my reading styles are both hopeful and dark.
Movies? Oh, don't get me started. Okay, so I don't see all that many movies, but I do watch a good handful. Don't talk to me about the new King Kong. I hated it. BUT, there are many movies I do love, my favorite being Imaginary Heroes, with Sigourney Weaver and Emile Hirsch themselves. Very good flick. You should check it out sometime. Changed me, it did. Also, you should probably rent Donnie Darko; The Dark Knight; August Rush; RENT; Tideland; Swing Kids; The Notebook; Edward Scissorhands; The Final Cut; Spirited Away; Nightmare Before Christmas; Corpse Bride; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; War Games (original 1980's version); Alice in Wonderland; Peter Pan; Train_Man; Pretty in Pink; and Big Daddy. Out of all of those, they were not the last movie I watched.
As you can tell by my tastes, you'd probably think my favorites bands are also pretty darko. WRONGO. I don't have a favorite band, being I have very eclectic tastes. I love Emilie Autumn, Panic at the Disco, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Mindless Self Indulgence and Fall Out Boy. I also love Coldplay; Regina Spektor; Noah and the Whale; Laura Marling; Enya; Tori Amos; Bright Eyes; Conor Obsert and the Mystic Valley Band; Blink-182; Adele; Weezer; Meg & Dia; the Whomping Willows; Pearl Jam; Smashing Pumpkins; The Beatles; the Smiths; Alanis Morisette; Bob Marely; Nirvana; and Taking Back Sunday.
I'm one for pure sounds as well. I love to listen to The Vitamin String Quartet. I also love Explosions in the Sky. And, of course, Broadway. My favorite shows are RENT, Spring Awakening, Avenue Q, Sweeney Todd, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Dog Sees God, Prozak and the Platypus, and, of course, Wicked.
I'm not one for television. I can't say I watch much, if any at all. If there were a world without it, I think I'd survive. My favorites, and only, shows I watch are HOUSE and Heroes. Zachary Quinto is amazing. He's like Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon, just better (and much more dark).
Now, I think you've heard enough about me. After all, I play one character on this site, so, you really should know me by now. I just simply felt the need to update, is all. If you feel the need to know who I am, my MSN, email, and screenname are all at your fingertips. Feel free to contact me whenever.
And this, my friends, is where I make my dramatic exit.
Love,
Sakura
